Do we know God by how we have been taught or are we brave enough to ask Him ourselves? Are we good enough to see the backside of God like Moses did? Did you know there is a mirror that shows us who we are and who God is. References from 5 Holy Books: the Tanakh, Christian New Testament, Book of Mormon, Catholic Bible, and the Qur’an.

The fire and the power of spiritual gifts exercised on earth bring miracles. When we share spiritual gifts, we extend God's hand on earth. Gifts are shared with the world through the body of Christ using the spirit of prophecy intertwined with the Holy Spirit.

His Spirit in Us
When we realize that God is Spirit, then we realize that He has no body. He has a form, however, and a personality.
And, how can someone have a form without a body?
We see the semblance without seeing the face.
It is like seeing a shadow of a person.
Or, sometimes, when we sense that someone is there, before we actually see him. Is he less there because we never saw him? Certainly, when we see him with our eyes, our idea of a person being there is validated. But, does it make it more true? What if God is black or Korean? What if God is Australian or Egyptian? What if God has a long nose and one eyebrow higher than the other?
Would we love Him any less or any more? Who do we think He is? What does He look like? Do we imagine Him Jewish at 35 years old or torn and battered dying on the cross?
Do we imagine Him a large man with a beard sitting on a golden throne? God is Spirit.
If God is Spirit then He has no body.
But, if this same Spirit lives to indwell His people, then His semblance lives within every one who contains it. With that knowledge He becomes black, yellow, orange, and every nationality that has embraced Him as their God.
If a little of God lives within everyone who has the Holy Spirit, then, certainly the way to see Him is through the face of those who contain His Spirit.
The dream:
I go to a religious service. The make me sit in a certain place. I meet a man who is intriguing to me. He tricks me in a nice way and takes me to Mexico for the day because he likes me.
I end up in a suburban Van with Paul (my husband) crossing the border to go back. It is raining hard. A family flags us down. A woman with her children and sisters all get in the front seat. At first Paul gets out of the car and I think that she is going to drive. He bails out of the car totally. Then, He gets back behind the wheel and drives off. But the door is open on the passenger side.
The people aren’t totally in the car and he is going down the road in the rain. They are hanging on the door. I yell at him and he only slows down. The people get into the back of the car. I find a place for them next to me. We’re going in.
I pass by a Holy Spirit Church. I tell the pastor to read a big map. He tries to copy it. I tell him there’s a map. He sends someone else to make a copy at their expense. He doesn’t stop to read it now.
The Churches grow. As they grow, they push people because they don’t notice their needs. Both pastors accuse me of Religious Misconduct.
Interpretation:
There are those seeking God in every Church. I have been wrong to judge the individuals by the Church that they attend. There are people who are genuinely seeking God there. They are being beat down by the storm. He wants to provide them a place out of the storm. Many are hanging on the door (Jesus) without coming through it. They need to be shown how to get in out of the storm. They don’t understand that they have the map and each person has to get to God from their own trail.
There is a message for the ‘Holy Spirit’ Church as well. They have the map, but are not following it from where they are. The people are in the same storm and the leader is leading them the wrong direction.
There are many Churches. They have their rules similar to other religious groups with regard to how individuals should serve God. They tell the parishioners where they belong in the family of God. They control where the people are. In the dream, when I went to their place, I was treated as one of their flock. This Church in the dream attempts to direct the people, like sheep are managed by a shepherd. They put the sheep where they think they belong according to leadership of the group.
In the dream, when I go to the religious Church I find a man who intrigues me. (I think he is Jesus.) He peaks my interest; I want to know him better. There is an element of mystery about him. He is fascinated with me as well.
He wants to give me a gift, so he sweeps me up, and takes me away to a foreign country (the Kingdom of God). I didn’t know I was going that far and that he was willing to spend so much on me. I am delighted to entrust myself to his care. We cross the border; go over the line, and he has taken me further than I could have imagined.
When I return from the trip, the man takes the role of my husband. The role of God does not change, but our view of him does as we get closer to him. He wants to take us to his country and show us things from his viewpoint.
On his side, he shows me there is a family in need of a ride to a different state. They need a change and are not happy. They are desperate for a pick up by Jesus. It is raining outside. They need a refuge from the storm of their lives. In the dream, the family is so aggressive to get out of the rain, that we can’t even get the door shut. They are looking for relief from the storms. There are some that are hanging onto the door, but are not in; it is like they are hanging onto Christ, but not ‘in’ Christ.
Jesus has moved over to provide a place for us. He moved out of His driver’s seat for a time to make a way for us to sit beside Him. He has provided us a place out of the storm next to him. When we sit next to Him, we can see where the vehicle is going. He doesn’t need any back seat drivers.
The vehicle that God provides for us to cross the border into His presence is along side of Jesus. The kingdom is moving; it is alive. It won’t stop for us because we aren’t totally ‘in’ Christ. Jesus will ‘pause’ for us, but He won’t stop the flow waiting for us. We need to hop aboard. When we are all ‘in’ Christ seated within the vehicle that He has provided, we will be ready to cross into the Kingdom of God.
In the dream, I pass by a Holy Spirit Church. I tell the pastor to read a big map. It is like one of those maps that a commander lays on the table to see where to go amidst a war. It is a topographical map. It directs to a large place and a person would be able to go a long ways using this map. Instead of reading the map, he tries to copy it.
He doesn’t look at it himself. He has to see it with his own eyes to understand where he is in relationship to where he needs to go. He needs his own set of directions to get there from where he is.
It is like going to the mall. If we are looking for a store, we look on the big map. When we locate the destination, we next look for the X to know where we are. How to get there from our particular vantage point. If we don’t know where we are, we will not know how to get there, no matter how many times we copy the map.
Why doesn’t he read the map? He doesn’t think he needs to. He thinks that he knows where he is going. He has a copy of someone else’s directions to the Kingdom of God. He is using their directions for himself. He thinks he’s in the same place as the one who gave him their directions. (Both men are at fault). There are no twins in the Kingdom of God. We all find God on our own trail. We are not meant to clone someone after us.
Other’s directions don’t take us to the place where we need to go from where we are. They don’t know where we are. (There are many Churches that are following a set of directions that have been previously given to a different Church at a different time. That Church was starting on the map in a different spot. Their Church does not grow, progress along the route, because the directions do not match up with the where this Church is. Only God can tell us where we are in relationship to the goal looking at the map. The map is the same for everyone, but where we are differs.)
I am accused of religious misconduct. The pastor is placing himself in a spot on the map according to a set of directions that he has been given. He expects the ‘sheep’ to get in line behind him and be obedient to his leading. He expects the sheep to be in ‘spiritual alignment’ with him because he has been given spiritual authority; like a captain of a troop marching toward the Kingdom of Heaven. I have been a sheep who noticed that we were at a different place on the map. When I pointed it out, I was found to be ‘out of line’.
I was found to be guilty of not following spiritual authority. They thought I had my own map. It is not a different map, but set of directions.
We sit in our own vehicle and let others push us along.
Safe within our place, comfortable within our climate controlled environment, we rely on others to fuel our fire.
Weekly, we gas up, fill and serve, we go to the service station on the corner down the block.
And, there we sit for our weekly wash.
Soak in His glory, wash in the word.
Sealed and dried.
And, that is what we are.
Closed, sealed, and dry.
Shut off from the anything outside our track; our circle.
God is so much bigger than this.
He, not only runs the car washes, He invents the rain.
Perhaps, sometimes we are too comfortable within our dryness to realize it’s raining outside.
For, the Lord brings the rain to us, not our vehicle.
And, if we stop by the rest area and get out of the main flow of traffic, we will notice the difference between going through the personal car wash and the vehicle car wash.
Because, sometimes, I think we need that, too.
