Manual of Personal Prophetic Prayer-Hearing from God with the spirit of Prophecy is released as one of the spiritual gifts when someone receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Often they receive the spiritual gift of tongues, which is a foreign language. This is part of God touching down from Heaven with signs and wonders. If you are wondering where to go from there, then read the Manual of Personal Prophetic Prayer. It provides a connector between hearing from God and a demonstration of the power of the Holy Ghost. This is book 2 of a three-part series on Prophecy.

Anointing
Anointing can’t be bought, taught or caught. It’s already paid for. It’s a gift which is given from God to whom ever He wills. We don’t earn anointing by our behavior.
We can’t get anointed by sitting under wonderful anointed instructors. We can’t be prayed over and obtain it. It’s a gift which we must wait for the right time to be opened in its season
Maneuverability of the Gifts
The dream:
I go to the bus stop and wait with others. Over and over.
But, I’m wanting some time alone with God. So, I go ahead of time and after some time am able to find what’s needed to play music so I can praise God. But, then I realize it’s time to meet the bus, so I decide to drive to the bus stop. I find that the truck starts without the key, but to turn it needs the key. I know I will find it in time to turn at the next corner.
Interpretation:
And, that’s just like God. We come to prayer with our needs, but only are able to maneuver the corners and turns with the key. And, He gives the keys. But, we must insert them into the ignition to be able to turn the wheel. It’s maneuverability of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
In the Wilderness With the Gifts
The Dream:
And, as they went across the wilderness, the desert was before them. Before, each time, my brother had a box he would push and it played a tune for them as they walked. But, the box doesn’t work any more. He didn’t realize that in his little world, God had a bigger picture.
And, off they went, again one more time in the wilderness holding the precious things of God. They carry His children. But, they also carry the box that won’t play this time. Off they go with her in their arms. It’s a long ways across the place and to home. They can see it in the distance, but it is far away, yet. They look behind themselves and see the enemy fast approaching.
I say, “Run.” And they do.
But, the enemy is stronger and he is coming fast. I am not sure if they will reach the safety of the barn in time. Like Alice in Wonderland, they wonder, unsure if they will reach their destination without being overcome by the enemy. Are their own legs strong enough to out run the enemy who is on horseback? I don’t think so. I am not with them. I watch, but am not part of this team.
Then, they met a clown. He is from the big top. Will they join the show? There could be safety in the large tent with the others. And, certainly the clown is so large; he will offer protection from the enemies that are fast approaching. I wonder why a clown would come to those carrying precious things across a wilderness if not to ask them to join the circus; “The traveling big top?”
Yet, I can see from my vantage point that their own house just ahead. Is it safe? Will they opt to go there instead?
My brother was silly to think that a little music box protected him. He used it like a good luck charm as he walked across all the places where he would easily be vulnerable to robbers and thieves.
He can’t trust in mechanics of the program to see him through with what God has entrusted him with because what does he do when there is mechanical failure?
And, in the big picture, how does he know where he is? Who will protect him and the gift he has been entrusted with? Who will protect that which he holds within his hand and heart?
Certainly the enemy will snatch it out of there if he can get to it.
Interpretation:
What about the wilderness time in our lives? There are times when we feel others have abandoned us and we need to move from the place where we are to the place of rest. God puts all of us in a wilderness to teach dependence on Him. When we depend on other things in that period, not only are we at risk, but our gifting is as well. In the dream, my brother has the daughter and the gift that he carries. But, this brother has a music box, as well. This music box is one that he used to play when he crossed the wilderness in prior times. He carries a mechanized way of dealing with the enemy.
The message of the dream is that we cannot trust in a mechanical way to deal with the enemy because it doesn’t work all the time. In the dream, the people are small and God backs the picture up, so I see the whole picture. When we climb into God’s box, then He will back the picture up for us. He will show us when the enemy is coming way off in the distance.
Another factor is that He backs up the picture that He gives. He empowers His vision. {See Katísha for a book on tactical enemy warfare.}
Our relationship with God is personal, not meant to be mechanical. If it is mechanical, it will break down, like the one in the dream. The music from the box that he brought is what comforted him along his path. God wants to be our comfort, Himself. He will join us along the path when we walk with Him. The music is meant to be played by our lives, not by the stuff we carry.
When we write a book, the mechanics of our lives shown within the book enables it to play music. When others carry our book, does the music that our book plays comfort them? Perhaps. But, that is not meant to be their comfort. They need to learn to find their own mechanics to worshiping God on their own. They can hold your mechanics, but it is not their own.
We never want to get into the place where we feel that the book, the song, the prayer, or the preached message we wrote will rescue someone, because it won’t. It is God, alone that provides rescue. He is the only One who can save. We simply declare our salvation.
In the next part of the dream my brother meets a clown. He is greeted by someone who represents the big top. Do we seek the ‘big top?” Is our aim to go to the top in the field, or are we looking toward God’s purposes within the vision He has for us?
In our vision, do we aim for our own success and safety? But, my brother continues to carry what he has been given and is trying to protect it from the enemy. He is presented with the opportunity to be successful, travel with the ‘greatest show on earth’, and have fun. Are these our goals? Do we want to travel, have fame and be honored by the world?
One thing I have noticed is there are those proclaiming that they are ‘missionaries’ who travel the world while others pay their way. How is this different from taking a vacation on other’s expense? Because they call the trip to Mexico a ‘missionary event’ then they assume it’s Ok to charge others for their fun adventures. Somehow I don’t think God approves of us taking vacations around the world at others’ expense. Do we seek to look ‘big’ to others so they will honor us? If we travel further and more often, are we greater?
In the dream, I wonder if he will go with the circus. I see the enemy pressing down on him like a band of robbers on horses, and he is standing in the wilderness doing contracts with the clown who represents the circus. But, I see his home in the distance. It is a spacious ranch with a barn by a river. God has a place where my brother is meant to be, but I am not sure if he will be able to make it there before the enemy catches him.
We need to remember that we are individuals, not machines, and the gifts that God gives us are used differently. Because they are personal and specific to each, they each need different mechanisms of protection as well as growth patterns.
There are verses in the Bible that speak about the word growing on different types of soils. These soils represent the state of our heart to be able to receive God’s words. This dream pushes these words to include not merely our own heart, but the messages that God has placed within it. For, we each carry a vision, a burden, and a gift from Him that He has given us since birth. When the soil of our heart is not right, then, we will not be able to grow the gift. It will never mature into what He has desired for us. The enemy will snatch it, the world will use it, or we will drop it and run. We can never expect that this gift will grow if we never reach the field of His intention.
